Thank you very much for everything you did for us. Your company went over and above any expectations we could have had. Our private tour of the Vatican was amazing. I had done tour of the Vatican before with another tour ccompany, but Catherine was fabulous and highly educational. Our tour with Raffaele to Positano and Sorrento was great. we loved his serenade in the van. We had a wonderful day all around. We also took the tour to Orvieto with Mauro. He did a great job touring us through the coutryside. He was very entertaining. Besides the terrific tours, Duman and Jany even assisted us in locating luggage lost at the airport and went out of their way to ensure the luggage was quickly found and returned to us. We greatly appreciate everything you did for us. I would recommend you a thousand times over to anyone I know traveling to Italy. I will be returning to Italy in the future and I absolutely will be taking other tours with your company.karens1900@verizon.net |

Jany, I just wanted to express how pleased we were with the tours we booked in Florence, Rome, and Naples during our recent cruise on the "Voyager of the Seas". First of all, each vehicle used was well maintained and very comfortable. Here are my specific comments for each day/driver: October 18 - Florence Andreas was our driver. This was our first tour with the company, so I was a bit nervous when we were off the ship at 8:00 AM and did not see a car or driver holding my name. I did see other drivers with the "Rome in Limo" sign and one of them called for me to see where my driver was - we were told he was stuck in traffic coming into the port. Andreas arrived about 20 minutes later. After we got started, everything was great. Andreas suggested we go to Pisa before all the tour buses arrived (which we did beat). He was very patient with us and allowed us as much time as desired to view the buildings and shop on the "Field of Dreams". We then went into Florence, where we primarily wanted to shop. He was very helpful about showing us some good shopping locations and dropped us off in one spot and planned to pick us up at a very convenient spot. He also gave us his cell phone number in the event we needed him. As it turned out, we finished earlier than expected and could call Andreas to come get us earlier and start back to the ship without worrying about our time/the traffic. October 19 - Rome Our driver was Luigi - and what a fabulous driver he was! Hats off to anyone that drives in Rome and he did not scare us once! His vehicle was also very well maintained and cute! Luigi provided us with lots of commentary (which we could all hear thanks to the microphone he used) and historical information. He did a wonderful job in showing us the highlights of Rome in the brief amount of time we had. Our first stop was a rather large church (St. Peter's??) which was interesting, but the time we spent there we would rather have spent touring the Collesium. We will know next time. Again, Luigi was very accomodating of our desire to shop and took us to the places we inquired about and suggested one other place we did not know about. Another beautiful touring day. October 20 - Naples Unfortunately, we were all so tired when we met our driver that none of us could remember his name. We talked amongst ourselves and decided he had said "Franko" and so we called him that all day. Our apologies - at the end of the day he gave me a business card with a name beginning with "R" (can't find the card) on it. Although the other drivers/vehicles/tours were good, we think the tour in Naples was our favorite. Pompeii was beyond anything we expected. We had booked a two hour tour with a private guide. "Franko" assured us our guide was great, and she was fabulous (Lucia). Not only was her English impecable, but her knowledge of the history of Pompeii was quite impressive. There was nothing we asked her that she couldn't answer and she provided so many interesting details/facts about the site we would never have known without her commentary. I can't imagine going to Pompeii and not having a guide, after hearing all the information she provided to us. Our only regret was not we could not have stayed longer to see more of this interesting place. Franko was awaiting us - and we were off to the Almafi coast. What a beautiful place - every turn in the road had the most beautiful scenary. This was definitely the place to have a good driver - this time the road was the challenge (not the traffic like the earlier tours). We were not worried with Franko driving - and he was so entertaining. Unfortunately, everyone in the van could not hear all of his comments but I was in the front seat and was able to benefit from his commentary and humor. He took us to Sorrento to spend the afternoon. The perfect day in the perfect Italian village - we enjoyed it so much! Afterwards, we drove over to Possanto - wished we could have spent some time there too. We now understood why this section of Italy is raved about - we just loved it! We can't say enough about the "extras" that were provided by our driver. He played a cassette with all the Italian songs we know - and we drove and sang them - he broke out a bag of Italian pretzels for us to try (very good), and he presented me with a bottle of the Lemon liquor for organizing the tour. All of his tips for the day were perfect. Only regret - don't know his name. Would definitely want him again. All in all, "Rome in Limo" was the way to go. The cost was very comparable to the tours the cruise line was offering (there were eight of us) and much more personalized and enjoyable. Thank you for making our vacation a memorable one! Last week, on November 11, we were fortunate enough to enjoy a wonderful tour to the Amalfi Coast by your company. Besides enjoying the incredible beauty of this part of Italy, we were exquisetly chauffeured by Carmelo, a lovely young man who shared with us his knowledge of his beloved country. Not only was Carmelo knowledgeable, but he had a great sense of humor, and provided us with a very good time. When Carmelo found out that I was Italian, and that my grandparents were from the Naples area, he did everything in his power to point out areas that would have meaning to me. This young man is an asset to your company, and we will most certainly ask for him when we return to Naples. We are so pleased with the service your company has provided. Dear Duman K. I would like to take the time to write to you regarding Carmine Ussano . Last Wednesday, me and 5 other ladies had the ride of our life along the Amalfia Coast. It is a MUST!!! For me, it was a tour that I dreamed of since I was little girl. My trip was for my 50th Birthday and I would not trade the pictures and experience for anything. Carmine was THE BEST Tour Guide I had and we had 2 others from your company. First of all, He is a very professional man who knows much about Italy and especially Napoli. He ask what we wanted to do and from then on......My dream came true......I always wanted to go up into the hills of Napoli to a "Home Style/Local Restaurant" and tour a Local Vineyard. He made every moment very special and checked in on us quite often as we did our purchases. It was very helpful for him to speak the language for us too. I must say, HE HAD A lot of PATIENTS for 6 cackling women to be asking questions all at one time. Please know I will be coming back to see other parts of Italy and I will want to make sure Carmine Ussano is my DRIVER!!! He is a great driver and very cautious. I felt very safe. Hi Jany, We were so pleased with Mauro as our driver to Rome on Thursday, Oct. 23rd!! He was continuously sharing information with us. It made our trip to Rome and the Vatican very special. Our tours with you of Rome and Naples were the absolute highlight of our cruise. We felt like old friends from the moment we started e-mailing Jany to the time we met Vincenzo in Rome and Rafael in Naples. Julia at the Vatican and Lucia in Pompeii were excellent. Vincenzo was an expert driver at getting us back to the ship on time in spite of flooded streets and terrible traffic. Rafael has a great voice - we sang together as we drove along the Amalfi coast! All of you are truly the best of the best and we miss you already!!Duman, thank you for the limoncello, and thanks to all of you for an unforgettable 2 days that we will treasure always. On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you and your company for making our 3 days of touring in Italy the most enjoyable part of our cruise vacation. We had John on our first day in Pisa/Florence. He was polite, informative, accomodating & very professional. He was very knowledgeable & you could tell he took pride in his work. For Rome & the Amalfi Coast, we had Chris. What can I say about Chris? He kept us laughing almost the entire trip. He was knowledgeable about the areas and very helpful at the stops we made. He also gave us an insight into everyday life there, which we really enjoyed. When I look back on my European vacation, the first thing I think of is Chris making us laugh non stop for 2 days. I would also like to commend our guide at the Vatican, Julia. She had a passion for her work, and after having her show us around, I know we would have been lost without her. You have a truly great company and we will use you again. I will recommend your company to anyone going to Italy. Dear Jany and Duman: As you know, we had a WONDERFUL time with Rome in Limo. I hope Salvatore got his envelope from Hotel Farnese. We are very sorry about the inconvenience it caused him, he was too wonderful to us. Irena (I don't know if I am spelling that correctly) was an amazing guide to the Vatican. Guides can so often by informative but dry or pleasant but vague. Irena taught us so much about the amazing sites we saw, but did it in such a fun and interesting way, we could not get enough information from her. We ran into her at the shop again the next day and she treated us like long time friends. Alex in Naples was like a younger brother to us, watching out for us and treating us like royalty. Of course, I did not get to meet Jany, but she bore the brunt of all my emails and questions, and always with such a polite and patient manner. You are a wonderful company with great people as your employees. I will take time to send out wonderful comments on your company via cruise critic and trip advisor....hopefully THIS weekend. It was such a pleasure to meet Duman. It felt like meeting family. Thank you so much for such a pleasant way to see your beautiful country. We WILL be back and I am sure we will see you all again. On our first day in Rome, we were picked up by an impeccably dressed Luca, who then picked up our friends at their hotel. We had a wonderful Sunday in Rome with Luca, who drove us all over and shared his knowledge with us. He took us to a great restaurant for lunch. He also took us to many places we wouldn't have seen or known about on our own. One of our friends has difficulty walking and Luca went out of his way to accomomadate her needs. It was a very long day, but Luca kept it interesting and entertaining. Clearly, he knows his way around Rome and has good knowledge of the history and traditions. We took a chance choosing something over the internet, but we are very happy with the outcome. Jany was also very helpful in setting up our day, responding to all of our e-mails promptly. All in all, it was a great introduction to the beautiful Eternal City. |
