2010-03-04  15:14:55		 We came to Rome for business and had a few days to ourselves to explore Rome and it's surrounding area. We choose RIL based on comments on Cruisecritic and was not disapointed. We took a day trip to Pompei/Sorrento. "Vinny" was very professional and was able to show us a good time despite the rainy day we had a good time. Because we went "out of season" we were a little disapointed that most of the shops in Sorrento were closed during the time we were there 2-4pm. Should probably have went there FIRST before we went to Pompei. So Vinny made a stop at a local grocery store so we could shop for some italian delicacies, and thanks to Vinny we have a new found love of Lemoncello!! We had so much fun traveling with their drivers, we booked extra trips while we were in Rome. I loved the friendliness of the drivers and their ability to customize the trip to our needs. We did three total tours with Rome in Limo and would highly recommend them to anyone. I wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the "behind the scenes" attitude to touring Italy. They were remarkable and unforgettable. For details, se the comments from Mike Elia on this site dated 12/09. As an added note, this was out third trip to Italy, and we felt we saw and did things as if we were on out first trip to Italy. It was truly amazing. Duman was there to pick us up at the pier. He gave us a fantastic tour of the city. He even picked out fantastic restaurants for us to eat while we were in Rome. I guessed we were spoiled have Duman the owner of the Company being our guide. His company is top notch and extremely professional. We even used them to take us from Hotel to the airport. Could not have asked for a better experience. Keep up the fantastic work and would use you anytime we are in the area.mikethweatt@frontiernet.net

In researching for our first trip to Europe I found recommendations over and over for RomeInLimo on cruisecritic.com. There was not ONE bad comment about this company. So I decided to contact them for our tours of Rome and Florence. Unlike other companies contacted, I recieved prompt and lengthy responses from Jany. Jany was extremely helpful and never seemed to tire of my constant questions. She even offered to help my daughter's boyfriend pick the exact spot to propose in Rome. Our tours included my family and another couple 6 in all. The ride was comfortable and the drivers,John and Vincenzo were the most knowledgeable I have ever met on tours. I am very inqusitive about ALL things and there was not one question they could not answer. John even knew the answer to questions about windmills I noticed on the drive to Florence! We were allowed to make our own pace with gentle coaching from the drivers in order for us to see as much as possible. In Florence John treated us to breakfast right near the tower of Pisa. Best cappaccino ever! We also had a wonderful traditional italian lunch at a cozy local cafe. In Rome we opted for a faster dining experience and Vincenzo guided us to the neatest sandwich shop that exceeded all of our expectations. RIL arranged a guide for the Vatican named Katerina. SHE WAS AWESOME! Extremely knowledgeable. She brought everything to life as we toured the halls of the Vatican and St Peter's Basillica. I can not say enough about this company. We were privileged to meet Duman the owner. I hope I didn't embarrass him because I was so overwhelmed with everything that I gave him a big bear hug when we met:) If you are reading this deciding what to do...YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH ROME IN LIMO! amy417@att.net

2010-01-21  22:00:49		 Our Western Mediterranean cruise on NCL had three ports of call in Italy and for each of them we bypassed the shore excursions offered by the ship and joined small groups of other shipmates for private seven person tours with RomeInLimo. The Naples/Pompeii/Sorrento and Rome/Vatican tours were great experiences for these first-time visitors, particularly because of the private guides provided by RIL for our stops at Pompeii and Vatican City. Best of all however was our driver/guide Lara, on our excursion to Pisa and Florence. Lara kept our group at the perfect pace for visiting all our desired spots and had some wonderful suggestions for the best places to stop for great shopping and other experiences. All this, at a cost quite a bit less than NCL asks for their "big bus" tours! When we're lucky enough to visit Italy again, RomeInLimo will certainly be in our plans. Thank you.tgstoner@sbcglobal.net

2010-01-20  18:45:28		 We had the pleasure of spending one day in Rome while on a cruise. I chose RomeinLimo after reading many wonderful reviews on Cruise Critic. I will say that the tour lived up to our expectations and more. Mauro was our driver/guide and was very knowledgeable and accommodating with our group of 8. We also had a guide at the Vatican (Sarah) who was also fabulous. I highly recommend paying extra for the Vatican guide. She was a wealth of information. The only negative was that we didn't have enough time to truly see everything but that was not our guide's fault. He packed in all he could in the time we had. My husband and I plan to come back to Rome and spend several days. When we do, we will be calling on RomeinLimo again.
