This day is designed for those who wish to enjoy a leisure side of Rome, to visit some of the historical site and enjoy it’s delicacies
You will be greeted at the Port of Rome and will make your way to the very center of Rome to visit one the most important ancient site, the Pantheon, to admire the once ancient Roman temple dedicated to all the pagan Gods. After your visit the driver will take you to one of the side cafes for you to taste the true Cappuccino and Italian coffee before strolling in Piazza Navona, the square of the artists where you can learn about Baroque art and the master Bernini.
Just a few minutes away you will now visit Campo de’ Fiori, hosting the charming and vibrant flower, fruit and vegetable market in an incomparable setting of medieval houses. Here you can pick the best funghi porcini and the best artichokes in town, shop for the best Mediterranean spices and olive oil before driving a way to a local gastronomy shop to taste the local salami, prosciutto, cheeses local to the region of Lazio, this would be a typical appetizer dish in Rome just before a light pasta lunch at a local restaurant where you can have two tips of pasta dishes, Amatriciana and Carbonara, unlike anything you have tasted, accompanied with a glass of the local wine from Lazio.
After lunch it is time to visit the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain where you can insure your return back to the city by throwing your coin inside of the fountain and of course shop if you wish to, then last but not least a good original Gelato is in order before heading back to the port.
