This day excursion is designed for those who wish to focus on the best sites in Florence and enjoy a day without having to rush.
You will be greeted at the Port of Livorno, by our driver, and make your way to the most famous city in Tuscany, Florence! Here you can explore the Church of Santa Croce, the Duomo and Baptistery, the Ponte Vecchio, the Pitti Palace, and the Uffizi Gallery, rich in unique artworks and masterpieces from the Reinessance period, prior to lunch. Moving on, you will stop at the Accademia, which houses Michelangelo’s famous sculpture of David, among many other masterpieces which belonged to the powerful Medici family. After the Accademia, it will be time to head back to the port to board your ship.

This day excursion is designed for those who wish to enjoy an overview of FLORENCE and experience a cooking class in TUSCANY.
You will be greeted at the Port of Livorno, and will make your way through the countryside to a privately owned castell with a winery near Florence to start your Tuscan cooking experience.
You will be learning to make some of the seasonal dishes starting from the appetizers, then a pasta dish of course and a main dish, not to mention a typical Italian dessert. After the cooking process you will be able also visiting the old wine cellars and learn about the philosophy of wine making before sitting down to taste the perfect Tuscan lunch made by you.
After lunch it is time to visit the Renaissance city of Florence. You have part of the afternoon to explore some of the main highlights such as the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, passing the magnificent Pitti Palace and of course a quick stop to view Michelangelo’s famous sculpture of David in the Accademia* before heading back to the port of Livorno.

After you are greeted at the port you will make your way to the enchanting city of Volterra. Today one of the most famous towns in the region of Tuscany, built high on the rolling hills, where you can find an marvelous view and enchanting sites in the city, from the ancient Romans theater to Piazza dei Priori, where Andrea Bocelli performed more then 20 years ago. After spending the morning here, your driver will take you to the town of Lajatico.
Here you will explore Andrea Bocelli’s wonderful Teatro del Silenzio (Theater of Silence) and of course the glorious Bocelli family Farm House situated among the rolling Tuscan hills where Bocelli’s family has lived for generations. You will have the unique opportunity to explore the family vineyards which stretch across the stunning Bocelli estate. The family have been producing fine white and red wines here for a number of years with Bocelli’s brother Alberto at the forefront of the production process. You will of course have the opportunity to indulge a little and sample three fabulous bottles during the complimentary wine tasting.
When ready your English speaking driver will chauffeur you to nearby traditional Italian restaurant La Vallata where you will enjoy a little memorable Tuscan cuisine. The owners of this charming dining establishment work alongside the Bocelli family. You will be able to sample a selection of Tuscan specialties and of course a glass of regional wine, divine desserts and traditional Italian coffee.
On the way back to the port you will have time to stop in in Pisa for you to complete your day with a view of the leaning tower and the magnificent square of Miracles.

You will spend the duration of your afternoon exploring the wine region and its wineries before you are returned to the Port of Livorno.
