A Jewish Vatican tour explores Jewish history, culture, and references as they pertain to various pieces of art, symbolism, and artifacts contained within the Vatican City.
This tour will allow you greater insight into the contrasts and similarities of the Old and New Testaments. Inside the Raphael Rooms you will be introduced to Pope Julius II’s curiosity of the Jewish Culture, a fascination shared by many Popes throughout the history of the Vatican.
The tour continues with a Jewish perspective exploration of St. Peter’s Basilica, before concluding with a visit to St. Peter’s Square. This tour requires accompaniment by our private tour guides.
Please pre-purchase your Vatican tickets online.
Important notice: The Basilica of St Peter’s might close for last minute ceremonies or mass. We will try to inform you as soon as we can but not always possible. In this case if you have booked a Vatican guide through us you will pay a lower fee for that.
It is important to note that proper attire must be worn in the Vatican: shoulders and knees must be covered.
