Naples Port: Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano
This Shore excursion has been carefully planned for you to admire Europe’s most fascinating archaeological site: Pompeii, the clifftop city of Sorrento, known by the Greeks as the “city of sirens” and picture-perfect Positano. Your driver will wait for you right at the exit of the Cruise Terminal and accompany you to your luxury vehicle to begin your adventure. You will start your day in Pompeii, wandering in the midst of the ghostly remains of the well-preserved ancient city that perished under the wrath of the Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. You will then visit Sorrento, where you can leisurely explore and enjoy its inspiring sun-filled piazzas and take some time for lunch, followed by a taste of ice-cold limoncello. The drive from Sorrento to Positano along the breath taking scenic views of the Amalfi Coast, is one of the most memorable experiences of a lifetime. You will have time to soak in photogenic Positano and its colourful houses, steep streets and awe-inspiring views of the Tyrrhenian sea, before driving back to your ship.
We advise you add to your service a guide for Pompeii, booked through us.
IMPORTANT NOTES: If you have already visited Pompeii, we can replace it with a visit to Herculaneum, a less famous and smaller site, yet home to well-preserved structures. Pompeii is partially wheelchair accessible. Due to very busy traffic down the Amalfi Coast, we recommend early pick up at 7:30 am.
