Siena & Chianti
This day excursion is designed for those who wish to enjoy the highlights of SIENA and the CHIANTI REGION.
After you are greeted at the Port of Livorno you will make your way to the medieval town of Siena, where you will spend the duration of your morning sightseeing around the area of the Piazza del Campo. This is both the site of the main town square, and the home of the Palio delle Contrade, the famous horse races that occur twice a year. Following a visit to the Duomo, you may choose to have lunch in Siena, or set off straight away into the Tuscan countryside, making your way into Italy’s most sought after wine region; Chianti. You will spend the duration of your afternoon exploring the wine region and its wineries before you are returned to the Port of Livorno.
