The Tour

Port of Livorno (or La Spezia): Florence & Pisa
Step into the cradle of the Renaissance on an unforgettable journey across northern Tuscany. Your English-speaking chauffeur greets you directly dockside at your ship in a luxury vehicle, whisking you smoothly across the Tuscan countryside into Florence (Firenze).
Begin your morning atop Piazzale Michelangelo for an incomparable panoramic view over Florence’s terracotta rooftops, the Arno River, and Brunelleschi’s monumental cathedral dome. Descend into the historic center to wander through architectural masterworks: stroll through Piazza del Duomo to admire the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Campanile, and the bronze doors of the Baptistery; explore Piazza della Signoria and the Palazzo Vecchio; and cross the iconic, jewelry-lined stone arches of the Ponte Vecchio. Midday offers time to savor an authentic Tuscan lunch at a traditional neighborhood trattoria before visiting the Basilica of Santa Croce or viewing world-class art collections (such as Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia Gallery or Renaissance masterpieces at the Uffizi Gallery).
In the afternoon, your driver guides you westward to the ancient maritime republic of Pisa. Step onto the emerald lawns of the UNESCO-listed Piazza dei Miracoli to admire the radiant white marble Duomo, the monumental Baptistery, and the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa (Torre Pendente). Following a sublime introduction to Tuscan art and architecture, enjoy a smooth, punctual return drive to the cruise docks.

Port of Civitavecchia: The Splendors of Rome
Journey into the heart of the Eternal City, where three millennia of Western civilization unfold at every turn. Your private driver greets you directly at your ship’s gangway, escorting you inland across the Roman countryside (~1 hour and 15 minutes) into central Rome.
Begin your morning among the triumphs of classical antiquity: marvel at the colossal facade of the Colosseum, view the historic track of the Circus Maximus, and take in panoramic vistas over the ruins of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill from the Capitoline Hill. Continue into the vibrant Baroque center to toss a coin into the roaring waters of the Trevi Fountain to ensure your return to Rome, stand under the ancient open oculus of the remarkably preserved Pantheon in Piazza della Rotonda, and admire Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona.
Following a leisurely lunch of authentic Roman specialties—such as handmade cacio e pepe or carbonara—spend your afternoon in Vatican City. Walk beneath Bernini’s sweeping colonnades into Piazza San Pietro to marvel at the awe-inspiring interior of St. Peter’s Basilica, or embark on a pre-reserved tour through the Vatican Museums and the world-famous Sistine Chapel to behold Michelangelo’s immortal ceiling frescoes and The Last Judgment. Sit back and relax as your chauffeur escorts you comfortably back to Civitavecchia ahead of departure.

Port of Naples: Pompeii, Sorrento & The Amalfi Coast (Positano)
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes, ancient archaeology, and glamorous coastal culture of southern Italy. Your private chauffeur meets you directly at the Naples cruise pier, setting off along the Bay of Naples beneath the dramatic silhouette of Mount Vesuvius.
Your morning begins at the legendary UNESCO World Heritage archaeological park of Pompeii, frozen in time under a deep blanket of volcanic ash during the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Walk down ancient stone-paved Roman chariot roads, explore remarkably preserved villas adorned with original frescoes and mosaics, and view ancient thermal baths, bakeries, and the monumental Roman Forum.
From antiquity, wind along the dramatic Sorrentine Peninsula to Sorrento, the legendary "Land of the Sirens." Stroll along its sun-drenched clifftop boulevards overlooking the sparkling Gulf of Naples, browse historic artisan shops celebrated for intricate inlaid woodcraft (intarsio), and enjoy a leisurely seaside lunch paired with chilled, estate-crafted regional limoncello.
In the afternoon, embark on one of the world’s most scenic coastal drives along the sheer limestone cliffs of the Amalfi Coast to the vertical jewel of Positano. Admire the breathtaking sight of pastel-colored villas cascading down steep rock faces directly into the turquoise Tyrrhenian Sea. Take time to explore Positano’s winding pedestrian stairways, browse high-end linen boutiques, or relax with an espresso by the beach before your driver navigates the scenic return drive directly back to the Port of Naples.

Important Shore Excursion Details & Multi-Port Package Notes:

Package Value & Bundle Savings: Our 3 Ports Package provides a cohesive, VIP travel standard across your entire Italian cruise itinerary while offering a bundled discount of up to €150 compared to booking each chauffeured excursion separately.

Port-by-Port Meeting Logistics:
Port of Civitavecchia & Port of Naples: Your private driver meets your party directly along the pier at your cruise ship’s gangway holding a personalized name board.
Port of Livorno: Direct dockside pickup right along the ship’s pier (~1 hour and 15 minutes transit to Florence).
Port of La Spezia (Alternative Tuscan Port): Due to strict port security regulations, private vehicles are not permitted dockside. Guests take the complimentary port terminal shuttle directly from shipside to the main cruise terminal exit, where your driver will meet you (~2 hours transit to Florence).

Recommended Early Departure (7:30 AM – 8:00 AM across all ports): An early morning departure is strongly recommended for all three excursions to optimize travel times, beat highway traffic, and explore major sites (such as Pompeii, the Colosseum, and Piazza del Duomo) before midday tour groups arrive.

For guests who have previously visited Pompeii, this stop can be substituted with the equally fascinating, compact ancient Roman coastal town of Herculaneum.
Pompeii features designated, partially wheelchair-accessible pathways along main arterial routes; however, ancient Roman stone paving is uneven throughout.

Driver vs. Licensed Tour Guide: Your English-speaking chauffeurs provide exceptional personal service, logistical coordination, and rich historical/regional commentary while traveling in the vehicle. By Italian law, drivers cannot guide guests inside archaeological ruins, museums, or churches. Private certified licensed guides can be added for comprehensive walking tours in Rome, the Vatican, Florence, and Pompeii upon request.

Guaranteed On-Time Return to Port: Every excursion within the 3 Ports Package is strictly coordinated around your cruise ship’s specific port schedule, ensuring an effortless, worry-free return to the cruise docks well in advance of all-aboard calls at every port.
