After you are greeted at your hotel in Naples, Sorrento, or the Amalfi Coast, you will begin your day by heading straight to Mount Vesuvius. There, you will climb to the summit to see the active volcano and take in the panoramic views of the bay. Following the descent, you will enjoy a drive along the Amalfi Coast to its most famous village, Positano, where you can spend your time exploring the narrow, winding streets and relaxing in the seaside cafes. Your final stop of the day will be the archaeological site of Pompeii, the ancient city whose ruins were preserved by the volcanic eruption for almost 2000 years. You will spend the remainder of the afternoon wandering through history before heading back to your hotel in the early evening.
* We do highly recommend a private licensed guide for Pompeii.
