After you are greeted by your private licensed guide at your hotel, you will make your way (either walking or by taxi, depending on the location of your hotel) to the Uffizi Gallery to see some of the most important masterpieces of the Renaissance period from Botticelli to Da Vinci. From the main part of the museum you will then take a walk to another exclusive part of it, the Vasari Corridor, the secret passage that was used by the Medici family to walk from the Uffizi to the Palazzo Pitti above the old bridge without being seen or noticed by anyone. It is NOT open to the general public and can only be visited by pre- booking. Our guide in Florence has the opportunity and exclusivity to visit this part in the morning. From here you will take a walk to the Accademia Gallery with your private guide to see Michelangelo’s famous sculpture of David and end your tour here.
Please note that the Accademia and the Uffizi museum are closed on Mondays!
